We are a group of students between the ages of 14 and 18 who are interested in science and technology. Through participation in robotic competitions we learn about controls, design, manufacturing, programming, business, and marketing. We are supported by mentors and teachers that each offer difference experiences and perspectives.
Team 2994 allows us the unique opportunity to learn and further develop our skills in STEM. We are not just a team, but part of a larger robotics community that involves us in a global competition and is a the next level up from the FLL program (FIRST Lego League). In order to compete, we have access to unique equipment and tools, such as a CNC milling machine, and are guided by experienced mentors, teachers, and older students.
Participation in the team is recognized by post-secondary institutions and provides useful skills for the workforce.
FRC is like a varsity sport. Students face intense challenges and learn fast. They meet once a week during the pre-season and post-season (September-December and February-April), three times a week during their six-week main season (January-February)
